Junior Achievement Online Auction
by Beth on Nov.15, 2009, under Nonprofits
Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana will reach nearly 95,000 students in the 2009-2010 school year, impacting over 47,000 students here in Allen County, Indiana. Junior Achievement services students by providing volunteer-lead business basics, workforce readiness, financial literacy and economics program within the school setting. We would not be able to reach the students with our programs without the help of our community partners.
We are currently coordinating the Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana 2009 On-line Auction. The on-line auction will be held at www.eBayGivingWorks.com. The auction will be held November 25th through December 1st, 2009 raising funds to support the JA programs in our area. We were given the opportunity to participate and entered this item.
Collecting Diapers for the Crib Club
by Beth on Oct.27, 2009, under Events, Nonprofits
Wild Hare Décor will be
collecting diapers throughout the month of November to support the Christ Child Society’s “Crib Club.” We will honor each donation by placing a diaper pin with the person’s name attached on the store’s Christmas tree.
Crib Club at the Women’s Care Center: The two locations of the Women’s Care Centers assist new and expectant mothers by offering parenting classes, counseling and encouraging good health and self-sufficiency. Through their programs, coupons are earned to be used in the Crib Club which is stocked with new baby clothes, baby care items and diapers. The Christ Child Society provides and organizes these items and staffs the two Crib Club sites.
For more information about the Christ Child Society visit their website at http://ChristChildSocietyFW.org .
Blackhawk Christian School – Chili Dinner
by Beth on Oct.26, 2009, under Nonprofits
On November 14th, the Blackhawk Christian School is hosting a chili dinner which includes both a silent and live auction event. The money raised will allow them to continue to provide a quality education and a Biblical foundation. BCS has had the privilege to give over $100,000 in tuition assistance this school year. The families benefiting from this assistance value the character development and Christian principles that BCS instills in their students.
We hope you will consider attending this event and you may even consider bidding on the auction item we provided. Thanks Blackhawk Christian for including us.
